(April 16, 2007 Flemington, NJ) “Out of Africa” Dance and Jewelry Program Comes to Flemington: Roman Jewelers to Host Public Event. The Roman Jewelers flagship store in Flemington will be the backdrop for a unique program featuring live African dancers and two men who journeyed to South Africa in search of platinum. The store is located Renaiassance Plaza on Route 12 in Flemington.
The “Out of Africa” event, which is free and open to the public, is being held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. The coffee bar and refreshments will be available starting at 1:00 PM. Five dancer/musicians from the Universal African Dance Ensemble will provide live entertainment between 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
At 2:00 PM, following the music, speakers Bruce Pucciarello of Novell Design Studio and Keith Riley of Platinum Guild International USA will discuss and chronicle their recent thrilling journey to the platinum and diamond mines in South Africa. They will share photos that were taken in the mines and on safari during the trip. They will also explain what makes platinum so precious. Bruce Pucciarello is an industry expert who has contributed to jewelry stories for the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and leading jewelry magazines.
According to Sophie Shor, Vice President of Roman Jewelers, this is the second in an ongoing series for the community. “Roman Jewelers wants to provide information and educational programs to people in the area. In the past several years, we have presented many jewelry educational programs to schools, and we have local scout troops visit our stores in Flemington and Bridgewater so that the children can learn as well. We are pleased to invite the community to learn directly from experts in the jewelry industry. It can be fun and educational.”
