Our master jewelers complete all work on site in our shop. In fact, you can watch them work! Almost all of the repairs that we take in are completed wholly in-house and your pieces are kept securely within the store. In the instance your piece requires equipment or techniques not available to our in-house jewelers, we have an extensive network of trusted jewelers who can complete the job, but we will always get your consent to have your piece worked on outside of our store. Your jewelry is always insured and treated with the utmost care and respect.

The time from drop-off to completion depends on the complexity of your repair and the volume of work that is already in the jeweler’s queue. If you simply need your jewelry inspected for loose stones and cleaned in our ultrasonic cleaner, our staff is able to do that for you in as little as 15 minutes, no appointment needed! For anything more complex, our jeweler needs time to evaluate and complete the work. The current turn-around time is typically around 3-4 weeks from drop-off to completion, but our sales staff will be able to give you a more accurate timeline when they assess your piece in person.

We understand that you don’t want to be without your engagement ring or wedding band for too long! For limited repairs on rings, we do offer same-day appointments. If you are interested in a same-day appointment, please bring your piece in to be evaluated by one of our expert staff and they will book you for the next available appointment based on your availability.

The types of things that can be done in a same-day repair:

• Ring Spa Service (Check/Tighten Stones, Polish, Rhodium)
• Ring Resizing – depending on the type of setting
• Setting Center Stones in Engagement Rings
• Adding Speed Bumps to Rings

All repairs are different. While many repairs cost less than $300, the price of your repair is determined based on the complexity of the repair, material that the piece is made of, the volume of work that needs to be done to complete your repair, and the components that must be ordered. The staff will be able to give you an estimate when you bring your piece in to be evaluated.

We would love to help you create a cherished, customized piece. Most engagement rings and wedding bands that we sell are also eligible for a free engraving within the ring.

For liability reasons we are only able to engrave pieces that are purchased in our store.

Some rings may be stretched to size up, but many must be cut and have metal either taken away or added in order to change its size. When we size a ring, we make sure the location of sizing is at the center of the shank bottom, so that alterations are completely undetectable when finished. For the same reason, we carefully maintain the style of the shank consistently around the ring base. Most importantly, we consider if a ring's side and center stones will be able to withstand heat from a torch while the shank is soldered. If they can, we solder by torch; if not, a laser welder is used to weld the metal instead. Any time we size your ring we ensure that all stones are secure.

Maintenance is the most important thing you can do to keep your jewelry safe. We recommend stopping in at least once every six months for our staff to inspect your ring to ensure no stones are loose, no prongs are worn, and your piece is generally secure.

Make sure to remove your jewelry, especially rings, before doing any activities that could potentially damage it, such as gardening, going to the gym where you might be lifting weights, or cooking.

Be careful not to expose your jewelry to harsh chemicals, such as bleach, chlorine or detergent.

When not in use, store your jewelry in a soft cloth pouch or jewelry box.

Clean your ring with a mild solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water and soak your ring for a few minutes. Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub away any dirt or grime that’s accumulated on the setting or diamond. Brush the inside of the ring and the area under your center diamond. Rinse your ring thoroughly with warm water and dry it with a soft lint-free cloth.

Have your ring professionally cleaned and inspected at least once a year, or better yet, every six months.

Have the prongs that hold your diamonds professionally checked to make sure the prongs have the adequate contact with your stones and are protecting your diamond from getting lost.
